At the Addiction Treatment Center of New England, we understand that each individual’s journey to recovery is unique. That’s why we offer a wide variety of options and resources tailored to meet your specific needs and treatment plan. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, ensuring that you have the tools necessary for long-lasting recovery.

Behavioral Health

Our licensed mental health professionals provide comprehensive substance use counseling services tailored to individuals with any type of substance use disorder or addictive behaviors. Whether you’re seeking individual counseling, group therapy, or couples and family sessions, we’re here to support your journey to recovery. These services are available to all clients, regardless of participation in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Take the first step toward healing with personalized care designed to meet your unique needs.

Outpatient Methadone Detoxification

For individuals with addictions to opioids desiring more short-term methadone treatment, we offer a six-month methadone program, where an initial stabilizing dose is administered followed by gradual, medically-supervised detoxification over a period of 180 days to reduce the physiological need for opioids. This includes daily dosing, random drug-testing, as well as weekly group and counseling.

Methadone Maintenance

Methadone Maintenance Treatment (MMT) is a proven, evidence-based approach for managing opioid use disorder. At ATCNE, we combine methadone treatment with counseling and behavioral therapies to address the physical and emotional aspects of addiction. Our personalized program helps reduce withdrawal symptoms, curb cravings, and support long-term recovery, empowering individuals to regain control and build a healthier future.

Drug-Free Counseling

For those who have successfully completed our MOUD programs, we offer continued counseling services for up to six months as aftercare.

Transitional Assistance to Treatment (TAT)

We provide comprehensive support through case management, recovery coaching, and transportation services, funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health – Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) and the Substance Abuse & Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). These essential services are designed to empower individuals on their recovery journey and ensure access to the resources they need for lasting success.

Orientation & Health Education Groups

All new clients are asked to complete an orientation workshop, during which clients will review our respective programs’ policies and procedures and be offered education on HIV/AIDS and infectious disease control, as well as overdose prevention.

Buprenorphine / Subutex

We offer buprenorphine (Subutex) for those with addictions to opioids in need of MOUD where methadone may not be necessary. This would require daily dosing and random drug-testing and includes access to weekly counseling. This is similar but not the same as Suboxone. Please call first to inquire about the medication’s availability.

Naltrexone / Vivitrol

We offer naltrexone (Vivitrol) treatment for the treatment of opioid use disorders. It is an extended-release medication, blocking the pleasurable effects associated with opioids. This allows the medication to be administered on a monthly basis, as opposed to the daily dosing requirements of our methadone and buprenorphine programs. Weekly counseling is included and groups may be available, as well.

Sublocade

Now Offering Sublocade. Like Buprenorphine, Sublocade is used in adults to treat moderate to severe opioid use disorder. Sublocade helps manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms without needing a daily dose. This is administered as a shot, and lasts 30 days.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to treat substance use disorders. MAT is a comprehensive approach that addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of addiction, aiming to help individuals achieve and sustain recovery.
